What’s not to love about New York? The spontaneity, pizza at 4 am, diversity around every corner, the opportunities. The Empire State Building that juts into the stunning skyline, a walk through central park watching the leaves change colors before your eyes, Park Ave, Fifth Ave, the galleries of Chelsea, the boutiques of the Lower East Side, the shopping in Soho, the list goes on and on and on. There’s a pulse, and a magic to the city that’s like nowhere else. And that’s why it’s especially exciting for sbe to welcome the historic Martha Washington Hotel – set in the heart of the city – to soon be transformed into The Redbury New York!

The landmarked hotel is rich in folklore – it opened in 1903 as an all women’s’ residence and stopping off point for many famous actresses including Veronica Lake. It was also the headquarters for the Interurban Women’s Suffrage Council, made an appearance in the movie the Valley of the Dolls, and even hosted the third location of New York’s famed nightclub Danceteria. And with such a vibrant past, one can only expect to discover an equally vibrant future when you book a stay in one of the plush 265 guest rooms, feast on Danny Meyer’s menu at Marta, or sip on a classic New York cocktail at the lobby bar Veronica‘s. See you soon in the Big Apple and stay tuned on our transformation progress!
