Allow us to introduce you to JK, sbe’s Restaurant Chief Operating Officer. John Kolaski has held a variety of titles for the company over the years, ranging from GM of Outlets, to Director of Restaurants. His most recent endeavor was launching sbe’s first international expansion as Vice President of Katsuya Operations. Now, John Kolaski is ready to run the entire restaurant gamut. Meet the man, the legend, behind the menus!

If you were a beer, what would you be and why?
Tecate in a can with salt and lime. It’s a little salty and lends itself to the perfect amount of sour.

Game changing article of clothing?
Socks! The louder and more colorful the better!

Favorite place in LA when you’re not at an sbe restaurant?
Starbucks! Watching people interact is always entertaining, watching people interact before they have had their morning coffee? Awesome!

Food you cannot live without?
Skippy Creamy Peanut Butter; no bread, no jelly, spooned straight from the jar.

Top Travel Tip?
Avoid checking luggage at all costs.

Occupation of choice if it wasn’t hospitality?
I would have taken over The Joy of Painting for Bob Ross painting Happy Trees.

Best trip ever?
August 2001. Epic, before everyone used the word. Took a month off and traveled between every major brewery in the Midwest stopping in every small town along the way to meet the locals.

To be able to speak every language that exists!
