There once stood the Sahara, the stomping grounds for the Rat Pack and the anchor of the Las Vegas strip. It’s the place where the original Ocean’s Eleven movie was filmed in 1960, and was also where The Beatles visited later that decade.
So when our #CEOSam decided to go forward with reviving the legacy of the Sahara and turning it into the SLS Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, we knew we were in for a ride. We’re a few months until the opening on August 23rd, and to mark this new era our team put together a specialty cocktail to represent the #SaharaToSLS that will be available across all of our sbe venues.
We’re taking fresh, classic ingredients and adding our own original twist to create a cocktail that is a blend of the old and the new. A collaboration between Katsuya’s Ryan McCallum and The Bazaar by Jose Andrés’, José Cespedes, the #SaharaToSLS is destined to be our summer cocktail staple.
Grey Goose La Poire, sweet vermouth, Aperol, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup and orange bitters, garnished with fragrant rosemary to tickle your tastebuds. Available at all sbe restaurants, the #SaharaToSLS is a cocktail reminiscent of the good times past and great times to come.
