The cultural calendar usually slows down a bit in summer. But this season, there are countless art shows around the globe that promise to provide plenty of sensory stimulation—aka amazing Instagram-able moments. Check out our list of selfie-inspiring exhibitions below, and get ready for your closeup.

Whitney Museum of American Art
New York, NY, USA
In May, The Whitney moved from its long-time uptown location to a new, sprawling contemporary space in downtown Manhattan. Through the end of September, their outdoor terrace features an installation by Mary Heilmann. It’s perfect for snapping a pic in one of the colorful chairs with NYC in all its glory in the background.

Venice Biennale
Venice, Italy
The biggest art event of the summer is the Venice Bienniale, where artists from almost every country are represented in the beautiful Italian city. All of Venice itself is selfie-worthy, but among the exhibition—which is in various venues around the city—we love the red room that artist Chiharu Shiota has created for Japan.

Rob Pruitt, Brant Foundation
Greenwich, CT, USA
New York-based artist Rob Pruitt is known for his humorous art world antics and artwork to match. This summer he transformed publishing mogul Peter Brant’s art foundation into a photo-friendly extravaganza with massive googly eyes, sparkling pandas, and more.

Neon Museum
Las Vegas, NV, USA
When in Sin City, it’s always a good idea to visit the Neon Museum, which we’ve written about before. With defunct casino and restaurant signs all on view in their outside “boneyard,” it’s a great place to capture yourself as if you were in the bygone era of Vegas glam circa the 1950s.
