Cheers! Celebrate National Happy Hour Day in sbe Style

If ever there was a reason to slack off work early to hit the bar, it’s today: National Happy Hour Day. The idea of a “happy hour” can be traced back to the US Navy, who in the 1920s would have on-ship entertainment at a certain time, during which sailors were usually a little “happy” from boozing. This was during the same period that Prohibition had taken hold on-shore, and drinking would occur in illegal speakeasies. The adventurous would gather in these unmarked establishments for pre-dinner cocktails, as alcohol couldn’t be served in restaurants.

As the decades have passed, the tradition has shaped into an after work ritual with drink and food specials. So today, we’re celebrating this nearly centuries-old tradition with a few stylish happy hour exclusives of our own, also available most days of the week:

Katsuya by Starck, Los Angeles:

Happy Hour food and drink specials
