Just a short drive from South Beach, Hallandale is like a less developed Miami, yet on the fast track of being the new place to new. With sunshine year round, an endless sprawling ocean, and a rapidly growing foodie and nightlife scene, the area is just getting started. Now, Hyde Beach Kitchen + Cocktails is paving the way for a new kind of hybrid beach-club-and culinary culture. To whet your palate, here’s our idea of a perfect 24 hours in paradise.

9 am
Every great day starts with breakfast. Have yours with unparalleled ocean views at the Beach Bar at Hyde Beach Kitchen + Cocktails. There are few things better than the Green Eggs & Ham Benedict – or the more body conscious option of Market Egg White Scramble with kale, pico de gallo, and turkey bacon.

Once you’ve swum through paradise, you’ll have earned a place on the hammocks. Hang out here while browsing the lunch menu or taking a quick siesta. If you want your relaxation a little more lux, grab a lounge chair or one of the cabanas. And have we mentioned the ocean front views you’ll be privy to yet?

2 pm
Enjoy a late lunch at the Beach Bar feasting on everything from rock shrimp tacos or pork belly sliders. For football aficionados, there are plenty of big screens to watch the game while sipping on a Dos Equis or Kentucky Radler.

With an hour or two to go before happy hour – you can either hit up the gym or the soon-to-be-open Ciel spa. At the gym, you’ll have all the amenities and at the spa, take advantage of everything from couples massages to facials to rejuvenating body peels.

6 pm
Aah, social hour at last. Hit up the Beach Bar for the most epic spiced ginger mojito this side of South Beach. If you’re visiting on a Monday, drinking can begin anytime, as social hour specials last all day long with $1 oysters and $5 classes of champagne or Rosé. Monday and Thursday nights, football can be found playing on the big screens at the Beach Bar as well.

8 pm
You’ve earned a world-class dinner experience after all that eating, drinking and swimming earlier, and no one is better to serve that up than Chef Danny Elmaleh. Chef Danny incorporates local Florida ingredients like seafood, free range meats, and farm fresh vegetables.

11 pm
Why not have another drink on the terrace? Then catch Lyft or taxi back home for the night, and dream of doing it all again.
