Going rogue in Las Vegas means doing everything this great city has to offer other than partying—the Strip’s default activity. With world class restaurants, shopping, and nature a short drive away, there’s plenty to do aside from finding out how “Sin City” earned its nickname. Behold, the best things to do in Vegas beyond partying:

Hiking
Within an hour of the Strip are some of the region’s most stunning landscapes to hike around. Among the best is Red Rock, a stunning slice of nature. It features a 13-mile scenic drive, more than 30 miles of hiking trails, rock climbing, horseback riding, mountain biking, and other outdoor activities.

Why we love it: Fresh air, great views, perfect picnic spots, and an opportunity to exercise outdoors.

Relaxing
If you’ve never indulged in a Ciel spa experience, prepare for the ultimate in pampering. Everything from herbal steam rooms, custom massage beds and couples treatments can be indulged in here. Try the Sweet Loving Souls package with a body soak, and hydrating body wrap that will make you feel the love. If you join THE CODE as a local, you’ll get 25% off treatments every Sunday – Thursday.

Why we love it: It’s a wonderfully decadent way to recharge after some Vegas madness.

Shopping
In Vegas, you can cop everything from vintage to luxury lines. Our personal favorite, however, is stocking up on high end staples for dressing up or going casual. Enter SLS Hers, a new retail concept at SLS Las Vegas, offering everything from skinny jeans to bell bottoms along with other wardrobe classics for men and women.

Why we love it: With so many designers to choose from including Joseph Ribkoff, Miss Me, Alberto Makali, everyone will leave happy.

Dining
In recent years, Vegas has been celebrated as a favorite among foodies. And for good reason – there’s something for all budgets and palates. One standout is Bazaar Meat by José Andrés, a haven for carnivores with inventive ways to serve steak, oysters, suckling pig and more.

Why we love it: Cotton candy foie gras!

Art-ing
In Downtown, there’s an 18-block stretch of galleries, shops and alternative spaces that make up “18b” or the Las Vegas Arts District. Come here to wander in an out of the many storefronts or for “First Fridays,” a monthly gathering of openings, performances, food and socializing.

Why we love it: There’s always something new to discover, including work by UNLV students and street art in and out of the galleries.

Pool-ing
It’s always pool season in Vegas. The Foxtail Pool at SLS Las Vegas is a perfect getaway for glamorous sunbathing. With private cabanas, plush lounge chairs, and a pristine pool, there are more ways than one to soak up the sun.

Why we love it: Have you seen this art-deco amazingness?
