Maybe you’re landing in LA a few days early before Coachella weekend, or maybe you’re trying to avoid Coachella altogether. Our recommendation: GO TO MALIBU! This little oceanside paradise personifies California Cool. After a few stops at some of our favorite local gems, you’ll consider relocating.

First stop: The Getty Villa. The Getty Center’s little sister will steal your heart and this is where we typically like to start our mornings.

Second stop: Lunch at Malibu Seafood. Located right on the side of the Pacific Coast Highway, we typically grab our food and a seat on one of their outdoor patios. Order the crab cocktail, it’s a must.

Third stop: Drive further north on the PCH and stop off at El Matador State Beach (a favorite of the ladies on our Integrated Marketing team). Grab your sunnies and a blanket and spend sunset camped out on the beach.

Some honorable mentions? We especially love the quick and easy Zuma Canyon Trail if you’ve packed your running shoes. Winding through a thick, woodsy canyon, this three-mile hike is a great way to feel better about all the wine you just consumed at Gladstones. Or maybe you want more wine (we always do)? Check out Malibu Wines – complete with a huge lawn for tastings – naps not included.
