It’s officially summer. That means plenty of time to be outside enjoying friends, food, drinks, and long hot nights. To host an epic summer soiree, rally up a crew and try some of our outdoor ideas below.

Boho Chic Backyard-ing
Transform your garden, lawn, or whatever you’ve got into a chic lounge. Spread pillows throw rugs, lanterns, and other colorful accents throughout. To eat, serve finger foods that can be scattered throughout and paired with fruity cocktails.

Food Truck Social
For good reason, food trucks are going strong around the world. To create a truly memorable evening, plan your food truck extravaganza. If in California, there are a range of resources to bring the experience to you. They’ll do the cooking, just make sure you set up ample seating and get drinks in order.

Watermelon Keg
This one’s pretty self-explanatory. And amazing. A watermelon keg goes great with any outdoor soiree, just get a spigot or keep it simple and use a ladle for punch. For more in-depth instructions, check out this link.

Mexican Fiesta
A taco bar is one of the easiest ways to feed a big group of people, and everyone will be happy because they can choose their toppings. Just set up a table outside with all of your ingredients. Make sure to get plenty of tequila for the perfect pairing, and if you want to go big, hire a local mariachi band for entertainment.
