We don’t like to rest on our laurels at sbe. That’s why this year sees several new openings pushing forward the notions of what hospitality can be, how food can be indulged, and what entertainment can look like in 2016 and beyond. Next month, sbe will start launching a series of varied venues across the country sure to resonate with whatever your interests may be. Check out the opening highlights below, and we hope to see you at one of our new venues soon!

Cleo L.A. LIVE
When the second L.A. outpost of Cleo opens in October, it will be its first standalone location. With shareable Mediterranean-inspired plates and cocktails, the concept, led by Chef Daniel Elmaleh has become a hit in its current homes at The Redbury Hollywood, SLS Las Vegas and The Redbury South Beach. “Cleo was my first culinary concept with sbe. I’m proud to see how far we’ve come and excited to be opening a second location in the city I love and where the brand was born,” says Elmaleh.

SLS Brickell
As soon as October 3rd, guests can check out the brand new SLS Brickell, a hotel and residence in one of Downtown Miami’s most up and coming neighborhoods. It will feature 124 hotel rooms and suites, 450 residential suites, and a collection of sbe’s spa and food and beverage concepts. Not only that, but it will also boast new culinary projects by two James Beard Award-winning chefs: José Andrés’ Bazaar Mar and Michael Schwartz’s Fi’lia.

Bazaar Mar at SLS Brickell
The brainchild of Chef José Andrés, Bazaar Mar at SLS Brickell will be Andrés’ sixth project with sbe. Bazaar Mar will be a seafood lovers paradise, or as ThinkFoodGroup describes, “The catch of the day gets elevated to dizzying heights at Bazaar Mar.” Guests will find everything from “sea snacks” like ceviches, seaweeds, and tiraditos to an extensive raw bar to spiny lobster and Florida stone crabs. Plus, there will be influences from Andrés’ native Spain, with dishes and cocktails inspired by the country.

Fi’lia at SLS Brickell
Chef Michael Schwartz’s first job was working in the kitchen of an Italian restaurant with “old Italian ladies that made amazing pasta.” It was only fitting then that his first restaurant in Brickell (he has five in Miami) at the new SLS would be a nod to this early experience. Fi’lia, which launches in conjunction with SLS Brickell on October 3, will be be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and will offer fresh, honest Italian food like handmade artisanal bread and pasta.

The James Hotel West Hollywood – Sunset, Food & Beverage
Disruptive Restaurant Group will oversee the food and beverage at The James Hotel in West Hollywood. That includes an all-day grab and go marketplace, plus a lobby bar with an elevated, educational and friendly cocktail experience with mixology led by the visionary Zachary Patterson at Melrose Umbrella Co. Additionally, Michael Schwartz will bring the second iteration of Italian restaurant Fi’lia, with an emphasis on seasonal ingredients. With these innovative food and beverage concepts, there’s no doubt The James will be sought out by foodies and cocktail lovers when it opens in January 2017.

SLS Park Avenue
“In New York, concrete jungle where dreams are made of,” so the Alicia Keys song goes. With the highly-anticipated SLS Park Avenue opening late this year, sbe’s latest dream will turn into a reality. Look out for the restaurant Bazaar Ñ, which ThinkFoodGroup describes as “an artful, veritable love letter to the cuisine and culture of [José Andrés’] native Spain, and homage to the first American city he called home.” Plus you’ll find nightlife concepts including S Bar and a rooftop lounge, along with plush rooms designed by Philippe Starck.
