“A cave where the Lost Boys hang out” – that’s how fan favorites Semi-Precious Weapons describe the legendary Sayers Club. Fresh off touring with Lady Gaga, the garage-glam rock group recently performed at the fabled Hollywood haunt, and it was all captured on camera for the new series, “A Night at Sayers” that airs Saturday nights on CBS2.

Sayers has played host to everyone from Prince to The Black Keys, giving guests insider-access to the best music out of Hollywood and beyond. The line-up is the brainchild of Jason Scoppa, a man who’s always on the pulse of what’s happening in the industry and designs evenings that are all about discovery – that unexpected magic that only happens at The Sayers Club.

When it comes to Semi Precious Weapons, “You never know how long they will play, how long they will go on,” Scoppa says. They were the natural choice to launch “A Night at Sayers.” This week’s episode takes us backstage with the group as they talk about how they approach a show: “there will probably be some great drag queen one-liners in between songs” muses vocalist Justin Tranter. We also get a sample of their new song, “Aviation High.”

Just like a live set, you never know what’s going to happen on “A Night at Sayers.” In this past week’s installment, we introduced indie rock singer LP and her killer ukulele skills. Tune in this Saturday, and each Saturday thereafter, for access to your own private Sayers Club show.
